2009 Calendar of Special Events

Heart Gallery provides an emotionally safe way to connect children with families through a traveling exhibit featuring the faces and stories of East Texas foster children ready for adoption. Professional photographers volunteer their time to capture the spirit of these children. Sponsors print the portraits, volunteers transport them, venues display them and over 50% of the children featured have families selected for them. Heart Gallery features children who are over 8, in a minority or sibling group. There are no unwanted children, only unfound families.

Photo Events

Events throughout East Texas

Over 100 volunteers will photograph and document at least 30 children per event. These events provide a relaxed environment to capture the children at play. Necessary items, gifts and food accompany the Heart Gallery volunteers. Heart Gallery collects items the child says they need (or want). While these events are private, media always documents the day.
